Multifamily properties typically size a Level 2 deployment around a percentage of total parking spaces with room to add capacity as resident demand grows, while fleet operators plan around overnight charging windows and vehicle turnaround. Workplace and retail deployments generally weigh dwell time — a few hours in an office lot supports Level 2 charging well, while quick-turnaround retail parking may call for faster charging instead.

DC fast charging

Express 250 and Express Plus deliver DC fast charging, with Omni Port universal connectors supporting a wide range of vehicles at a single station. DC fast charging suits locations where drivers need a short stop rather than an extended dwell — corridor sites, quick-service retail and fleet depots with tight turnaround windows are common fits. For owners who want charging under the same manufacturer relationship as their standby power, Generac supplies a full commercial charging lineup: Level 2 Plus 40A and 48A for everyday charging, the higher-duty Level 2 Pro for commercial and fleet use, and a Level 3 Fast Charger for sites that need a quick turnaround. Paired with Generac standby generators and battery storage, charging can continue through a grid outage as part of the same coordinated system.

Generac Level 2 Pro

Level 2 Pro is built for higher-duty commercial and fleet charging, giving properties with heavier daily usage the durability and throughput a standard Level 2 station is not designed to sustain. It fits naturally alongside a Generac Level 2 Plus deployment as usage grows, or as the primary station type for a fleet lot from the start.

Generac Level 3 Fast Charger

Generac's Level 3 Fast Charger delivers DC fast charging for sites where drivers need a short stop rather than an extended dwell, and can be paired with Generac Power Boost and Power Share load management so a property can add fast charging without always requiring a full electrical service upgrade.
