Express Grid, powered by Eaton, scales up to 600 kW for passenger EVs and into megawatt charging for heavy-duty vehicles, with vehicle-to-everything capability built in. It is engineered as site-ready power infrastructure, with an optional skid-mounted configuration for sites that need to deploy power infrastructure quickly. We specify Express Grid for depots and heavy-duty fleet sites where charging speed and vehicle throughput matter more than square footage.
Megawatt fleet charging: depot charging at scale
- Depot deployments typically combine Express Plus DC fast charging with Power Blocks and Power Links architecture, letting a site share power capacity across many charging positions rather than provisioning full power to every port.
- ChargePoint fleet software layers on top to schedule charging around vehicle routes and duty cycles.
- Load management keeps a depot's total draw within its electrical service as fleet size grows, so operators can add charging positions over time without a full service upgrade.
Storage and resilience
Generac® SBE Block battery storage and standby integration let a depot keep charging through a utility outage and manage demand charges by drawing on stored energy at peak times. Pairing ChargePoint depot hardware with Generac storage and generation is the same model we use across our resilient EV charging work, applied at fleet scale.
Engineering review and lead times
Depot and megawatt charging projects typically involve an engineering review of the site's electrical service, utility interconnection coordination for higher-capacity connections, and longer lead times than standard Level 2 or DC fast deployments. Express Grid deliveries began in the second half of 2026; availability may still be limited by site and configuration.
Who does what
Engineering of record, installation and commissioning are provided by ChargePoint and its certified partners, the client's engineering team, or a qualified third party, under a separate contract with the buyer. EnFin advises and coordinates; Continuity Power Group supplies the equipment.
